Directions to Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex (HTRC)          

The facility is located at 2820 Prairie Meadow Dr. in Iowa City, just west of the Hawkeye Hall of Fame. 

From I-80 (Westbound) 

Take Exit 242 from I-80W. Make a left turn on 1st Ave/Hayden Fry Way toward Hospital-Sports Area. Continue onto Mormon Trek Blv. Turn right onto Prairie Meadow Drive. Hawkeye tennis and Recreation Complex will be on your right  *Please take into consideration the construction on 1st Ave may add 10-15 minutes to your trip depending on traffic 

  

 

From I-80 (Eastbound) 

Take Exit 242 from I-80E. Make a right turn on 1st Ave/Hayden Fry Way toward Hospital-Sports Area. Continue onto Mormon Trek Blvd. Turn right onto Prairie Meadow Drive. Hawkeye tennis and Recreation Complex will be on your right  *Please take into consideration the construction on 1st Ave may add 10-15 minutes to your trip depending on traffic 

                  

From the Hampton Inn and Radisson Hotel 

Head south on 1st Ave toward 9th street. Continue onto Mormon Trek Blvd. Turn right onto Prairie Meadow Drive. Hawkeye tennis and Recreation Complex will be on your right  *Please take into consideration the construction on 1st Ave may add 10-15 minutes to your trip depending on traffic 

 

From Highway 218  

Take Hwy. 218 to Melrose Ave in Iowa City. Take exit 93 and turn right onto Melrose Ave. Continue on Melrose Ave to Hawkeye Park Rd and turn left. Follow to Hawkeye Dr and take a right. Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation complex will be on your left. Turn in the second driveway for parking. 

 

 

From Interstate 380  

Take I-380 to Iowa City and continue straight onto Hwy. 218 S to Melrose Ave in Iowa City. Take exit 93 and turn left onto Melrose Ave. Continue on Melrose Ave to Hawkeye Park Rd and turn left. Follow to Hawkeye Dr and take a right. Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation complex will be on your left. Turn in the second driveway for parking. 

 

Public Transit  

Cambus is a University of Iowa operated free public transit for the Iowa City area. The Hawkeye Interdorm will take you to the front doors of the HTRC from any other stop on the route. This route does a loop from downtown Iowa City to the HTRC/Hawk Lot and back downtown. Stop 3140 is the HTRC. Hawkeye Interdorms are supposed to leave from the downtown interchange at :10 after the hour and arrival at the HTRC at :28 after the hour. However the best way to get real-time information on the bus routes/arrivals is to download the “Bongo” app for smartphones. You can download the app or get more information about it from their website (http://bongo.org/).
